About license availability

The ArcGIS Desktop Administrator displays the license status of the license manager you are currently using. This information includes the software product type in use, the availability and expiration dates of the licenses, and the licenses available for use.
If the product feature is not listed in the ArcGIS Desktop Administrator, it is not included on the license manager you are referencing. Contact your license server administrator to obtain the use of the product license you need.
ArcView, ArcEditor (Single Use), and extensions do not require the use of a license manager. Instead, after ArcView, ArcEditor (Single Use), and extensions have been installed, you must register the software with ESRI to authorize and enable its use on your computer.

  3. Click the Availability folder in the table of contents.
  4. Click the Software Product drop-down arrow and click the floating software product whose availability you want to view.
  5. The installed features, license time-out dates, the total number of licenses, and the number of licenses available for the license manager you are currently using display.
  6. If you want to check the number of licenses available for another license manager, change the license manager using the ArcGIS Desktop Administrator and repeat steps 1 through 5.
