Set the keyframe interval and time units

Segment 4 of 12

Top  Previous  Next

There are five basic steps to create an animation through time.
They are:
1) Create Keyframes and a Time Track
2) Set the Time Track Properties
3) Set the Keyframe interval and time units
4) Preview and set the Time Text properties
5) Play the animation.

In this segment you'll see how to set the keyframe interval and time units.

Click the Keyframes tab and notice the time values that have been populated for each keyframe in the Time column. Since this data is in 10-year intervals, you’ll set the interval for each keyframe to 10 and the units to years.

Click the value for the interval of the Start Time keyframe and type “10”, then repeat this for the End Time keyframe.

Click the value for the units of the Start Time keyframe and click Years from the dropdown list. Repeat this for the End Time keyframe.

The keyframes will be spaced at 10-year intervals.
