Sometimes a given line or part of a line is digitized twice in the course of creatingdata. This may happen with CAD drawings or with lines digitized on a digitizing tablet. In this example you'll see how to correct a double-digitized line.

Zoom in to the error until you can see that there are two nearly parallel lot lines, one of which has the dangle. You’ll correct this error by deleting the extra line.

The Fix Topology Error tool lets you interactively select and apply predefined fixes to topology errors on the map. Right-clicking on the map with the Fix Topology Error tool gives you a menu of fixes that you can apply to the selected errors. In this case, you click Select Feature to select the extra feature. Once the feature is selected, you can delete it by pressing the Delete key, because you correct Topology Errors in an edit session.
