Welcome to ArcIMS® 9.2. Whether you are a new user or have been using ArcIMS for many years, you should spend some time getting acquainted with Help system.
Everyone should take some time and read the ArcIMS overview. Each section of the overview points you to parts of the Help system that may be of interest to you. In addition, ArcIMS 9.2 includes a framework for creating Web applications using the Microsoft .Net Framework or the Java Platform. This framework allows both developers and non-developers an easy way to create and deploy Web applications. The overview section points you to information on how to build Web applications in this environment.
New users may want to spend some time going through the ArcIMS Quick Start tutorial. This tutorial covers all the basic concepts for ArcIMS. At the end of the tutorial, you will have a working Web site.
