Keeping track of geoprocessing history
Each time you run a geoprocessing tool, information about the tool and its parameters is saved so that you can recall the geoprocessing operations performed, modify them, and rerun them. This history of geoprocessing operations is stored in three places:
- The Results tab of the ArcToolbox window. This is the first place you want to look for a history of what tools you've run and their results.
- A history toolbox that contains models where each geoprocessing operation is represented as a model process.
- The metadata of a tool's output data, which can be viewed in ArcCatalog.
