MRCATK: Mercator Cylindrical Projection with Scale Factor
This is a variation of the MRCAT projection where a scale factor is used to specify the scale reduction factor rather than a standard parallel.
Parameter Name |
Description |
PARM1 |
Longitude, in degrees, of the central meridian of the coordinate system (or map). |
SCL_RED |
The scale reduction factor to be used. |
MAP_SCL |
Used only when defining a coordinate system that is to produce measurements on a scaled paper map. This value is the scale of the map, e.g., 100,000. Normally, this value is set to 1.0. |
X_OFF |
The false easting to be applied to all X coordinates, usually selected to cause all X coordinates within the coordinate system to be positive values of reasonable size. |
Y_OFF |
The false northing to be applied to all Y coordinates. |
