Tip: Remember that if you drag your input dataset from Windows Explorer onto the FME window, the Set Translation Parameters dialog box automatically appears, and your input information will already be specified.

Note: You don’t have to change the settings if your source format supports this feature – FME will simply use the default settings. Many formats support additional settings.

WARNING: If you reinstall FME you will have to remember to back up your LocalCoordSysDefs.fme and coordsys.db files. Otherwise you will have to redefine your custom mapping files.

Do you want to quickly rename an attribute without reopening the dialog? Float the cursor over an attribute name (you will see a highlight), right-click and select Rename Attribute.
