Navigating between the origin feature class and the destination table through the attributed relationship class

Segment 3 of 5

This geodatabase has an attributed relationship class that links the Parcels feature class to the Owners table. In ArcMap you can navigate between the related features and rows in order to identify all of the related features or rows.

There are two main methods that are used to navigate between related features and rows:

1. When you identify a feature in your map, you can see the objects related to that feature in the Identify Results dialog box. If the related object that you navigate to in the Identify Results dialog box has objects related to it through other relationships, you can continue to navigate to those related objects.

2. When you select one or more rows in the attribute table of a feature class or table, you can use the “Related Tables” tool located in the Options tab to open the related table and select the related objects.

3. During an edit session you can also use the Editor Attribute dialog to navigate between related features and rows.
