In order to create 3D objects on your model, you will add some local data to the London area.

To do so, click the Add Data button. Navigate to the location of the Exercise 9 tutorial data folder. Open the Geodatabase folder, double-click the Lincolns.gdb geodatabase file. Hold down the Ctrl key, click the Building_Footprints, Street_Lights, and Vehicles feature classes. Holding down the Ctrl key lets you select multiple items. Click Add.

The Add Data Wizard appears for each feature layer, beginning with Building_Footprints.

Click Don't show layer when zoomed to apply the distance visibility range. Type "3" in the out beyond text box, and leave the in beyond text box set to the default value of "0". Click Finish.

When the Add Data Wizard appears for Street_Lights layer, click Display features as 3D vectors. Click Next. Click Don't show layer when zoomed to apply the distance visibility range. Type "1" and "0" in the distance range text boxes. Click Finish.

Repeat these steps for the Vehicles layer.

If it appears, close the Geographic Coordinate Systems Warring message box. The data will be projected to ArcGlobe's currently set Geographic Coordinate System.

Click View, point to Bookmarks, and click Bird View. You can now see all the layers you have added to the study area. The Table of Contents indicates that these feature layers have been added as draped layers in the scene.
