Prepare to edit two feature classes with features that share boundaries

In this example you saw features that are stored in two feature classes, some of which have common boundaries. The Topology Edit Tool can be used to edit shared edges of features that participate in a permanent geodatabase topology. If the features don't participate in a topology, you can create a temporary Map Topology that will allow you to edit them with the Topology Edit Tool.
