By default, results from running tools are not overwritten. You’ll specify to overwrite results from running tools—via their dialog boxes—so the existing locations output will be overwritten.

Click Tools on the Main menu and click Options. Click the Geoprocessing tab and check to overwrite the outputs of geoprocessing operations. Click OK.
