Create a New Map

When ArcGIS Explorer starts you'll see that it opens a map named My Default Map. This map has been initialized with one of the Esri basemaps. You can begin to work with this map immediately; however, at some point, you may want to create a new map to include different content, add-ins, extensions, a different basemap, etc.

To create a new map

1. Click the ArcGIS Explorer Button , and then click New.
2. Specify if you want to save any changes to the current map.
