Overview

The ArcGIS Server ArcPad Extension allows you to author and publish ArcPad projects to ArcGIS Server and synchronize data between ArcPad to ArcGIS Server via any internet connection.

In order to make use of the synchronization functionality, you need:

• Desktop environment to Author your data
• Desktop and Server environment to Publish your data
• Mobile environment to Use your data.

On desktop you require ArcGIS Desktop (ArcView, ArcEditor or ArcInfo) 9.3 and ArcPad 8.0. On the Server you require ArcGIS Server Enterprise Advanced Edition 9.3 (.NET) and ArcGIS Server ArcPad Extension 8.0, and on the mobile device you require ArcPad 8.0.
