Enabling the ArcPad Data Manager

When you open ArcMap ensure the ArcPad Data manager toolbar is active. To confirm whether the toolbar is active or not, right click on the menu bar to see if the ArcPad Data Manager option is checked. If it is not checked, select the option and the toolbar will appear on the screen as shown below:

To view the following tools, you should have the ArcPad Data Manager extension enabled.

• Get Data for ArcPad
• Configure Project for Geoprocessing
• Author Project for ArcGIS Server
• Get Data From ArcPad
• Deploy to Mobile Device

To enable the extension go to (Tools>Extension) and the following window pops up:

Once this extension is enabled the above mentioned tools become active.
