The Deploy to Mobile Device tool allows you to deploy any Windows CAB file to your mobile device that is connected to your PC. You can use this tool to deploy a CAB file containing compressed ArcPad data or an application such as the ArcPad installation CAB. You can also use this tool in a model in order to deploy a complete solution containing ArcPad applicaiton and data. When you select this tool, the following dialog opens:

Use the folder icon to browse to the location of the CAB file.

Note
In order to deploy ArcPad data checked out from ArcGIS Desktop, you should select the 'Create ready to deploy .CAB file containing the ArcPad data' check box when using the Get Data for ArcPad> wizard in ArcMap

When you click OK, it starts installing the CAB file, as shown below.

When the installation is complete, the wizard asks to perform additional steps on mobile device, if required.

Check your mobile device for additional steps.
