Opening a new map in ArcPad

  1. You can also open a new map from the Main toolbar in ArcPad. Tap the drop-down arrow below the Open Map button.
  2. Tap New
  3. Tap Map

    ArcPad will open a new blank map. If you have another map open, ArcPad will ask you if you would like to save any changes to the current map before closing it.

    Tip
    Prepare your Data: Use the ArcPad Data Manager for ArcGIS Desktop to prepare your data for ArcPad. With these desktop tools, you can create subsets of your data, convert data to shapefiles and ArcPad AXF files, and export legend symbology. The ArcPad Data Manager also optionally creates an ArcPad map containing the selected layers.
