Running a skin directly from the ArcPad desktop icon

  1. Right-click on the ArcPad desktop icon.

  2. Click Properties, and the ArcPad 8.0 properties dialog box appears.
  3. Click the Shortcut tab.
  4. In the following examples we have chosen the Archer.skn.Type the following path in the Target field: “C:\Program Files\ArcPad 8.0\arcpad.exe” /skin=“C:\Program Files\ArcPad 8.0\archer.skn”.A space must be included between \arcpad.exe" and the /skn= skin name for the string to be applied successfully.

  5. Click OK.
  6. Double-click on the ArcPad desktop icon.
  7. ArcPad will open within the confines of the skin.
