How to Create an Account

To access user-specific functionality such as maintaining a profile, saving searches and publishing metadata, you must first create your user account.

To create a user account, click "Register" from the upper right-hand corner of the Geoportal's screen to access the user registration page.



Fill out the information in the form to create a new account. Mandatory fields have bold and italic field labels. If you would like to request publisher access to the Geoportal, use the Feedback link at the top of the page to contact the Geoportal administrator.

• Username Rules
  
  Your username must be at least 3 characters long and must not contain the following characters: =, * , %. If your username does not conform to these rules, you will receive an error when you attempt to submit your registration.
• Password Rules
  
  Your password must be at least 3 characters long. Other password restrictions may apply if the Geoportal host organization's security requires them.
