You can use address locators to locate many addresses from a table while you are working in ArcMap. This process is commonly called geocoding.

There are two main steps to prepare to geocode a table of address. First add the reference data (usually streets) that you want to match the addresses against and the table of addresses that you want to geocode. Second, right-click the table and click Geocode Addresses and choose the address locator that you want to use.
