Turn map layers on and off in ArcReader

ArcReader

Segment 3 of 18

Top  Previous  Next

The table of contents is where you turn map layers on and off. To display a layer, check the check box next to the layer’s name. To turn the layer off, uncheck the box. It is important to remember that layers will draw on the map in the order they appear in the table of contents. In the Angelus Oaks example, the Houses layer will draw on top of all other layers, while the Angelus Oaks layer will draw beneath all other layers.

Click the plus sign next to the Roads, Trails, and Creeks layer to see the symbols for each feature in the layer.

Uncheck the Roads, Trails, and Creeks layer under the Angelus Oaks Recreation Area data frame to turn off the layer.

Check the layer again to turn it back on.
