Now that you have set up your raster snapping environment, you are ready to begin tracing the raster cells. You will use the Vectorization Trace tool for this step.
In this example you see how to trace the outer boundary of the lots from the scanned image into a line feature class.
Because snapping has been enabled, the Vectorization Trace tool snaps easily to the lines and line intersections that it detects in the image. This process is somewhat like tracing by hand with the sketch tool. In later segments you will see a more automated way of vectorizing a raster.
