What and where is the ArcGIS Explorer Button?

The ArcGIS Explorer user interface has been significantly redesigned. The ArcGIS Explorer Button replaces the File menu and is located in the upper-left corner of the application.

When you click the ArcGIS Explorer Button, you see the same basic controls available in earlier releases of ArcGIS Explorer to open, save, and print your map.

However, in this release, some controls have been moved and others renamed. Here are the actions available in the dialog you'll see when you click the ArcGIS Explorer Button:

• Create a New Map
• Open an Existing Map
• Save the Map's Changes
• Save the Map with a Different Name, as the Default Map, or as a Basemap
• E-mail the Map
• Print the Map
• Set Map Properties
• Access the Resource Center
• Set which Application Configuration to use
• Set ArcGIS Explorer Options
• Exit ArcGIS Explorer
